Waldo J. Ackerman is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Murex Petroleum Corporation. Mr. Ackerman sits on the Board of Directors of a privately held mineral company.
As the founder of Murex Petroleum Corporation, he brings 25 years of engineering, operations and management experience to the company. Before starting Murex Petroleum, he was an Operations Engineer for Patina Oil and Gas Corporation and prior to that was a Production Engineer for Mewbourne Oil Company.
Mr. Ackerman received his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering in 1989 from North Dakota State University and completed Production Performance Analysis Methods Graduate Course from the Colorado School of Mines.
Mr. Ackerman was born in North Dakota and raised in Wishek, ND. He currently resides in Colorado with his wife and three children.
