Senior Landman (Houston, Texas)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related land experience including Landman duties, 10+ years preferred
• 3+ years in-house land department experience
• Bachelor’s degree and land certifications preferred (CPL, Petroleum Landman Degree, etc.)
• Manage daily operations of drilling program for a single rig at a minimum ‑ multiple rigs is a plus
• Experience with North Dakota resource plays highly preferred
• Proven track record of independently creating and negotiating all facets of land work
• Demonstrated ability to research courthouse records and other oil and gas documents
• Strong computer proficiencies with Microsoft Office programs, Access,
• mapping tools, and property management
• Proven capability to work independently or in a team setting
• Strong interdisciplinary communication skills

Duties Include: Work closely with production and drilling personnel

• Acquire leasehold acreage and mineral interest as instructed by management
• Negotiate contracts associated with drilling and production operations
• Research records to ascertain surface and mineral ownership for sites
• Oversee leasing and lease maintenance
• Ability to prepare division orders decks, curative documents, JOA’s, purchase sale agreements, assignments, surface use agreements, and other documents
