Murex Petroleum Corporation operates in four states but is also involved in the control of mineral acres in five other states and Canada. Murex controls over 84,000 net mineral acres through affiliated companies. These companies include Linda Petroleum Company, Missiana LLC, Missilinda of Canada, Williston Projects Inc., and Mono Corporation with holdings in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Murex currently operates 240 wells in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.
