Land Analyst – North Houston, TX (Contract)

Location: North Houston, TX
Experience: 5-10 years
Qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Preferred but not required)
• 5-10 years’ experience as a Land Analyst or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Land Software
• GIS and database experience, a plus
• Ability to work in a team-based company structure
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Ability to calculate oil and gas interests and interpret oil and gas conveyances and agreements
• Excellent business writing and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and desire to develop career

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Review, analyze and interpret oil and gas conveyances/agreements to establish and maintain land records
• Prepare Transfer of Ownership Forms for transfer of ownership in oil and gas wells
• Assist Division Order Analyst with maintenance of division of interest decks
• Mail and process division orders, legal forms, contracts and correspondence
• Obtain change of address, W-9, transfer and curative documents
• Research and gather data relating to escheatment funds
• Respond to royalty owner inquiries via telephone, email and mail
• Organize paperwork, prepare folders and file documents
• Prepare and circulate AFEs and other correspondence
• Perform various administrative duties as necessary

This is a temporary, full-time, contact position with the potential to develop into a permanent, full-time position.
